Benedict Baxendale-Smith is a doctoral researcher at King’s College London in the Department of Defence Studies, researching the role of the maritime-air domain in the Indo-Pacific strategies of Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom.
Benedict is also the Cuthbert Collingwood Associate Fellow in Maritime Strategy at the Council on Geostrategy.
Prior to his PhD, Benedict graduated from Durham University with a Master of Arts in International Relations with Distinction. For his MA thesis, Benedict researched the Trump Administration's NATO policy, focusing on the burden sharing debate.
