Brian Williams

Dr. Brian Glyn Williams is Full Professor of Islamic History at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth and author of The Crimean Tatars. From Soviet Genocide to Putin's Conquest (Oxford) and Inferno in Chechnya. The Russian-Chechen Wars, the Boston Marathon Bombing, and the Al Qaeda Myth (Dartmouth). His fieldwork in Eurasia includes four summers spent in Afghanistan living with anti-Taliban warlords, working for the US Army's Information Operations and tracking suicide bombers for the CIA's CTC.
