Carlos Barrera

Carlos Barrera is CEO of Atlas Renewable Energy, a leading renewable energy company with operations in the Americas. Previously, he was the VP & managing director for Latin America at SunEdison. He has also worked at BP, including in its Alternative Energy Division, where he focused on hydrogen power and carbon capture and storage. At BP, he also worked on the Venture Capital team, leading origination efforts in the carbon trading segment, and was responsible for the development of new markets for large-scale projects at BP Solar.

Carlos holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and mechanics from Lehigh University and an Executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He has attended executive management and leadership courses in numerous institutions and holds a certificate from the Program for Leadership Development at Harvard University.
