Full Biography
As the President of LQuinox Consulting, Ms. Weeden brings experience as an operator, manager, diplomat, and advocate for space and satellite applications. Ms. Weeden has previously worked as the Senior Director of Policy at the Satellite Industry Association (SIA) where was responsible for advancing U.S. satellite industry interests in government services, regulatory, legislative, defense, export-control, and trade. She has also served as the Canadian Embassy Assistant Attaché for Air and Space Operations.
Ms. Weeden has 23 years of experience as a veteran of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), starting her career as a CP-140 (P-3) maritime patrol Air Navigator, followed by assignments as Deputy Sensor Manager for the U.S. Space Surveillance Network at the U.S. Air Force Space Command, policy officer at NORAD and USNORTHCOM, and as Flight Support Operations Manager at the Canadian Space Agency.
Ms. Weeden has also worked as an industry representative on the FAA Commercial Space Transportation Advisory Committee, as a guest lecturer at George Washington University and the U.S. State Department Foreign Service Institute, and as industry support to the U.S. delegation to the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space.
Ms. Weeden holds a MSc. in Space Studies from the University of North Dakota and graduated from the Royal Military College of Canada with a BEng. in mechanical engineering. Ms. Weeden also earned Brookings Executive Education’s (BEE) certificate in Policy Strategy and a certificate, Interdisciplinary Space Studies from the International Space University.
