Full Biography
Rodrigo Maia is a federal deputy for the State of Rio de Janeiro and president of the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies.
First elected to the Chamber in 1999 at age 28, Maia is currently serving his fifth term as a federal deputy. Before turning to politics, Maia worked for Banco BMG and Banco Itau. He served as Secretary of the Muncipal Government for the city of Rio de Janeiro from 1997-1998. Maia was elected president of the Chamber of Deputies by his colleagues in 2016.
