Expert Bio
Daniel Maweu Lee was a fall 2022 Brown Capital Management Africa Forum intern with the Wilson Center's Africa Program. Daniel is in his second year of a doctoral program in African Studies at Howard University—where his research examines independentist sentiment and movements in current French dependencies in Africa. Daniel completed his Master of Public Policy with a concentration in political theory at the Georgetown’s McCourt School in 2019. Daniel’s interests include the relationship between rule of law and governance outcomes, social and populist political movements, human-centered design and racial equity, and the intersection(s) of sports, policy, and race.
