Denisse Garcia is a Graduate Research Intern with the Wilson Center's Mexico Institute. Denisse is pursuing a Master of Arts in Latin American Studies at Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Harvard University. Denisse has interned at the International Fund for Agricultural Development and the Centro de Investigación y Educación Popular. Prior coming to D.C., Denisse served as an AmeriCorps fellow in Boston. Denisse is highly interested in the role of Mexican migrant communities in the United States in promoting economic development and community organization in Mexico, specifically along the U.S.-Mexico border.
