Full Biography
Dr. Fadlo Khuri is the 16th president of the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. Dr. Khuri maintains his appointment as Professor of the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine. He is the former Executive Associate Dean of Research and the former Chair of the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine. He also served as Deputy Director for the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.
Dr. Khuri was also the Roberto C. Goizueta Distinguished Chair for Cancer Research. In his 13 years at Emory, he was instrumental in leading the development of some of the most important cancer-related programs in the state of Georgia and throughout the nation.
Dr. Khuri continues to serve as editor-in-chief of the journal Cancer.
