Full Biography
Fernando Rodrigues is a journalist and the founder of Poder360, an innovative, independent and non-partisan online news portal that focuses on politics and public policy in Brazil. Currently based in Brasília, Rodrigues has covered politics and elections as a reporter since Brazil's democratization in the 1980s. He has worked for several news outlets (including Folha de S. Paulo, UOL, BBC and Jovem Pan radio) and has served as a foreign correspondent in New York, Tokyo, and Washington, D.C.
He has a MA in International Journalism from the City University of London and was a Nieman Fellow at Harvard (2007/08). He is the founder and former president of the Brazilian Association of Investigative Journalism (ABRAJI), which has trained thousands of reporters and works to expand freedom of information in Brazil. He currently serves on the association's Board.
