Reform in Socialist Countries: The Convergence Hypothesis Revisited

Project Summary

Reexamines the convergence hypothesis in light of changes in both the East and West since the 1960s within the framework of four separate areas of reform: 1) changes in organization and incentive structures, 2) for efficient exploitation of the technological revolution in the information industries, 3) changes in welfare system and 4) resource allocation and the industrial structure.
