Full Biography
Ivan Grigoriev has MA in area studies (St. Petersburg State University), European political and administrative studies (College of Europe, Bruges), and in political science (European University at St. Petersburg). In 2017 he defended a dissertation about the ways the Russian Constitutional Court survives under autocracy. Since 2012 he has taught at the Higher School of Economics in St. Petersburg. His main research interests cover Russian politics and institutional development under autocracy. He has also published several papers on the politics of reform during the first Putin administration (2000-2004).
