Kaliya Young, known as the “Identity Woman”, is the Ecosystems Director at the COVID-19 Credentials Initiative. Kaliya co-founded the Internet Identity Workshop in 2005, a bi-annual forum that brings together the largest concentration on the planet of talent dedicated to designing and building identity systems that empower individuals. She is the author of two books, The Domains of Identity: A Framework for Understanding Identity Systems in Contemporary Society and A Comprehensive Guide to Self-Sovereign Identity. Kaliya was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2012. In 2017, she received her Master of Science in Identity Management and Security from UT Austin. She was featured in Wired UK in January 2020.
