Full Biography
Kate Salimi is a Program Assistant for the Canada Institute. She provides support to implement a strategic agenda focused on impactful events focusing on Canada-US relations. Salimi worked with the Canada Institute from February 2016 to 2017 as a recipient of the Alberta Abroad program.
Prior to joining the Canada Institute, Salimi worked in various programs on developing capacity for inclusive growth, health systems, and gender equality both in Canada and abroad. She previously worked at Global Affairs Canada as a junior policy analyst and worked for several non-governmental organizations in Washington, DC and in Latin America.
Salimi holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Calgary, and a MA in International Development and Global Studies from the University of Ottawa. She is fluent in French and Spanish.
