Full Biography
Lei Chen Wong has over 10 years of leadership experience in the non-profit sector in China. Most recently, she served as the Executive Director of the Jane Goodall Institute China, a global NGO focused on wildlife conservation and environmental education, from 2010 to 2015. She continues to serve as a consultant for the organization based out of Washington, DC.
Prior to the Jane Goodall Institute China, Lei served as the assistant director at a US non-profit organization in Shanghai, specializing in international education from 2005 to 2009. Lei also worked as a consultant for Wethica, a consulting firm focused on implementing corporate social responsibility standards in Chinese supply chains and factories.
Originally from New York City, Lei earned her Bachelors from Hamilton College with a concentration in foreign languages and economics, and later spent a year at Johns Hopkins SAIS’s Nanjing campus where she studied international relations.
