Louis H. Porter is an Assistant Professor at Texas State University, where he teaches courses on the history of Russia and Eurasia. His research focuses on Soviet internationalism and cultural diplomacy in the twentieth century. His current book project, a history of Soviet participation in UNESCO during the Cold War, explores Soviet experiences of world governance, world citizenship, and international community. He received his PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2018.
