Expert Bio

Marcos Mendiburu joined the World Bank in 1999, managing and supporting several initiatives on access to information, transparency, and demand side of governance in different regions of the world. In 2006, he joined the Access to Information (ATI) Program of the World Bank Institute (WBI), which he currently leads. Currently he is engaged in efforts in Argentina, Bangladesh, Chile, El Salvador, and Ghana, and is the coordinator of the Access to Information Working Paper Series at WBI. Marcos holds a Master’s degree in Public and International Affairs, with a major in Economic and Social Development from GSPIA, University of Pittsburgh.
