Mark Hansen is Associate Professor of Statistics with a courtesy appointment in Design|Media Arts at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is also Co-PI for the Center for Embedded Networked Sensing and an area lead for the center’s Statistics and Data Practices program. Previously he was a member of the technical staff in the Statistics and Data Mining Research Department of Bell Laboratoriesin Murray Hill, NJ. He received his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in statistics from the University of California, Berkeley.
