Full Biography
Mirel Ruiz Brindis holds a Masters in Gender and Public Policy from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences –FLACSO, and a B.A. in International Relations from the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM). She completed the Diploma "Gender Relations, Building Equality between women and men”, from the UNAM. Mirel joined C230 Consultores and Fundación IDEA in 2019, where she participates in the project Femicide Response Activity (2018-2022), financed by USAID. Previously, she performed as Project Manager at the Analysis and Context Analysis of the Central Prosecutor's Office for the Attention of Crimes Linked to Gender Violence of the Estado de México (2016-2019); as Financing Coordinator at Amnesty International (Mexico section), and as Deputy Director of Community Management for Latin America and the Caribbean at TECHO Latin America and the Caribbean.
