Expert Bio

Dr. Nizar Ben Neji serves as the Minister of Communication Technologies in Tunisia. He was previously a lecturer and researcher at the University of Carthage in Tunisia and a former Fulbright visiting scholar at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in the United States. He began his corporate career as an engineer, then a project manager, at the Tunisian Government Certification Authority (ANCE) from 2005 to 2013. He was also a member of several national steering committees and working groups in charge of supervising and conducting national IT and e-government projects, including the Tunisian Online E-Procurement System (TUNEPS) and the national committee in charge of revising the cybersecurity and cyber-criminality law in Tunisia.

Dr. Nizar Ben Neji was actively involved as expert at an international level with the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organization (CTO), the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), and the Arab Information and Communication Technology Organization (AICTO). He received his engineering degree from the Tunisian national school of computer sciences (ENSI) in 2005 and his Ph.D degree in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) from Sup'Com of the University of Carthage in 2012.
