Project Summary

Pedro A. G. dos Santos is an Associate Professor of Political Science at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University in Minnesota. He has two main areas of research in Brazilian politics: women’s representation in the legislative and executive, and the rise of evangelical politicians in the country. He has published various book chapters as well as journal articles in Latin American Politics and Society, Politics & Gender, and Teorija in Praksa. He is currently working on a co-authored book-length project examining the impact the presidency of Dilma Rousseff, Brazil’s first woman president, on women’s representation and empowerment in the country.
