Roberto Velasco-Alvarez holds a master of public policy degree from the University of Chicago, where he was the Chicago Policy Review’s editor-in-chief and a bachelor of laws degree from the Ibero-American University at Mexico City. He has experience in the Mexican federal, state and local public sector. After July 2018’s presidential election, Roberto was invited by the Secretary-designate of Foreign Affairs, Marcelo Ebrard, to support the transition process as his press liaison. He served as a Director-general for Public Affairs and as a Director-general for North America at the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs of Mexico, where he now is the Chief Officer for North America.
