Rodrigo Waghorn is a career diplomat since 2006. He has a degree in Naval Electronic Engineering and a master's degree in geopolitics from Sapienza University of Rome and a master's degree in foreign policy from Santiago de Chile University. He has been assigned at the Embassy of Chile in The Netherlands were he was alternate representative to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons and the International Criminal Court, and to the Embassy of Chile in Rome were he was in charge of bilateral cooperation and appointed as alternate representative to the Food and Agriculture Organization and the World Food Program. Since October 2020 he holds the position of Acting Director of the Antarctic Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile and Head of Delegation of Chile to the ATCM. He is married and has five children.
