Ruth West is Director for Interactive Technologies for the Center for Embedded Networked Sensing at the at the University of California, Los Angeles. She explores and facilitates the interactive potentials of mobile devices, combined with web and social-based media. Her current interests and projects combine the humanistic/socio-cultural context of advanced and emerging technologies with the ever-increasing capability for high-density sampling of our lives and our world.
