Tareq Layka is a researcher, lecturer, and consultant in global health, conflict resolution, and policy innovation. His work focuses on the intersection of health, peacebuilding, and politics, particularly in conflict zones. He has worked extensively with international organisations, policymakers, and humanitarian initiatives, advising on security, health & aid strategies, and resilience building.
Tareq has participated in fellowships in public policy and strategic foresight, exploring how long-term thinking and interdisciplinary approaches can strengthen peace and health systems. A TEDx speaker, he has delivered lectures at universities and institutions worldwide and actively contributes to global initiatives that bridge research, policy, and on-the-ground action.
Tareq holds an MSc in Global Health, Social Justice, and Public Policy from King’s College London and has completed extensive professional training in peacebuilding and diplomacy. Originally from Syria, he is now based in London.
