Vadim Altskan is a historian specializing in East European, Balkan, and Jewish history. He is the Project Director of the International Archival Programs at the U. S. Holocaust Memorial Museum’s Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies. He directs archival research in the Balkans, Baltics, Caucasus, Central Asia, and East Europe, fulfilling the Museum’s mission to preserve evidence of the Holocaust and make historical materials available to scholars and the general public.
