Vinícius Marques de Carvalho

Mr. Vinicius Marques de Carvalho is Minister of State of the Office of Comptroller General of Brazil (CGU) since January 2021. He graduated in Law at the University of São Paulo (USP). He also earned a Doctorate in Law at the same university, as well as a Doctorate in Comparative Law at Université de Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, where he acted as visiting professor. He is Professor Doctor at USP since 2014.

He presided Brazil’s Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) from 2012 to 2016.

He has also held the positions of Secretary of Economic Law, CADE Commissioner and Chief of Statt at the Special Secretariat for Human Rights, among others. He has also been a member of the ‘Specialist in Public Policies and Governmental Management’ career in the Brazilian civil service.
