Full Biography
Yifan Ren is a research assistant at the Wilson Center’s Argentina Project. She is a Master’s student at the Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), concentrating in Latin American studies and international economics, with specializations in infrastructure finance and policy. Prior to SAIS, she was selected by the Citibank Young Talent Program to conduct industrial research. She has also worked for the Xinhua news agency, Phoenix New Media and the China Children and Teenager’s Foundation in Beijing on political, communications and fundraising projects. She received her Bachelor’s in Hispanic studies from the Beijing Foreign Studies University as an Outstanding Graduate. She has also studied cultural anthropology in the Autonomous University of Madrid, and conducted anthropological research in Madrid and Beijing.
