Africa: Year in Review 2024
This year’s edition features essays from key thought leaders and policy actors influencing and shaping Africa-related policies. Africa: Year in Review 2024 includes reflections on critical topics such as the ongoing war in Sudan, growing African leadership on the global stage, large-scale infrastructure projects, and one of the biggest election years for the continent. The authors assess the implications of these developments for the social and political futures of Africa, the United States, and the world at large.
Africa Program
The Africa Program works to address the most critical issues facing Africa and US-Africa relations, build mutually beneficial US-Africa relations, and enhance knowledge and understanding about Africa in the United States. The Program achieves its mission through in-depth research and analyses, public discussion, working groups, and briefings that bring together policymakers, practitioners, and subject matter experts to analyze and offer practical options for tackling key challenges in Africa and in US-Africa relations.
