Rocío Nahle García
Rocío Nahle García is the Sigamos Haciendo Historia en Veracruz (Let's Continue Making History in Veracruz) candidate for the governorship of Veracruz. Born in Zacatecas in 1964, she holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Autonomous University of Zacatecas (UAZ), with a specialization in Petrochemicals. She completed a diploma in Chemical Engineering of Processes from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and a diploma in Economic Viability in Industrial Processes from the Universidad Veracruzana.
Nahle began her professional career at Pemex (Petróleos Mexicanos), working in the administrative, financial, process, planning, and quality control areas. In addition, in the private sector, she has worked at Industrias Resistol, a company that produces adhesives. She was a speaker on Petroleum and Petrochemicals during the Energy Reform Forums in 2008 and 2013 in the Mexican Senate. From 2015 until 2018, Nahle served as a federal deputy representing Morena. In 2018, she was appointed Secretary of Energy by President López Obrador.
