Nina Jankowicz Testifies Before the House Intel Committee on Misinformation, Conspiracy Theories and Infodemics

Nina Jankowicz testified before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) about misinformation and conspiracy theories online.

On October 15, 2020, Disinformation Fellow Nina Jankowicz testified before the House in a virtual unclassified hearing on conspiracy theories and misinformation narratives online.  She discussed three trends that exemplify the modern information space: 1) increased use of information laundering to deliver foreign disinformation; 2) conspiracy convergence; 3) disinformation often targets women and minorities. Additionally, she provides her suggestions as to how the modern information space should evolve and be addressed by governments.
