Mexico's Presidential Candidates' Campaign Platforms: A Comparison

Alexandra Helfgott

Election season is fully underway in Mexico and the three presidential candidates are traveling across the country to share their platforms and campaign proposals.

The proposals of Claudia Sheinbaum, the Sigamos Haciendo Historia candidate, are listed in a document titled 100 pasos para la transformación (100 Steps for the Transformation). This is an extensive document that lays out the work the current administration has done on the issues alongside proposals for the new 4T administration, along with significant statistics. The proposals of Xóchitl Gálvez, the Fuerza y Corazón por México candidate, can be found here. Jorge Álvarez Máynez, the Movimiento Ciudadano candidate, has not yet officially released a document with his campaign proposals, but rather has shared them on his campaign tour of various universities around the country.
