CloseCities without Suburbs
June 10, 2013
On this episode of Dialogue at the Wilson Center we turn our attention to the newest edition of a book that looks at the intersection of cities and their suburbs and suggests that the solutions to many urban problems may be found there. Our guests are David Rusk, a former mayor of Albuquerque, New Mexico and the author of the book, “Cities without Suburbs.” Also Blair Ruble, Director of the Wilson Center’s Global Sustainability and Resilience Program. Christopher Wilson, Program Associate with the Wilson Center’s Mexico Institute, joins us to discuss the newly released “The State of the Border Report,” a document that provides a comprehensive look at the challenges and potential represented by the vital US-Mexico border region.
