New Tools in the Struggle for Democracy

Oleg Kozlovsky, a Russian democracy and human rights activist. Kozlovsky is cofounder of the Solidarnost United Democratic Movement. Christian Ostermann is the director of numerous programs at the Wilson Center including the History and Public Policy and European programs.

This week on dialogue, host John Milewski speaks with Oleg Kozlovsky, a Russian democracy and human rights activist. Kozlovsky is cofounder of the Solidarnost United Democratic Movement and also of the youth movement, Oborona. Kozlovsky discusses how the struggle for democracy throughout the world, and specifically in former Soviet states, has evolved through the use of social media and internet tools. Christian Ostermann is also featured on the program and he speaks about the Ion Ratiu Award which was presented to Kozlovsky in 2010.
