Political Change in Burma: A Human Rights Perspective

This week we discuss the changing political environment in Burma and examine how these changes have affected human rights campaigns within the country. Our guest is David Scott Mathieson, the senior researcher on Burma in the Asia division of Human Rights Watch. Since 1995 he's worked on issues related to military rule and repression in Burma Since 2002, he’s been based in the Thailand-Burma borderlands. Previously he's taught and been a researcher at a number of universities in Australia.
