CloseThe National Conversation Continues: A Follow Up Discussion with Mr. Y
July 27, 2011
In the inaugural National Conversation Series held by the Wilson Center in April 2011, the center of discussion was a white paper written by two active-duty military officers, Captain Wayne Porter (U.S. Navy) and Colonel Mark Mykelby (U.S. Marine Corps). The paper, “A National Strategic Narrative” contends that the United States should move away from such outdated Cold War strategies as containment and deterrence toward sustainable prosperity and civic engagement. This week on an encore broadcast of dialogue host John Milewski sits down with Captain Porter and Robert Litwak of the Wilson Center for a follow up discussion on the National Strategic Narrative.
