The Mexican Elections and the Future of Social Democracy in Mexico
The Woodrow Wilson Center Mexico Institute and the Inter-American Dialogue hosted the latest installment in the ongoing series Dialogues with Mexico/Diálogos con México: “The Mexican Elections and the Future of Social Democracy in Mexico”, featuring Jesús Zambrano Grijalva.
Jesús Zambrano Grijalva is currently President of the Party of the Democratic Revolution, Mexico’s largest leftist party. He began his political career in his home state of Sonora as a student leader and ultimately become one of the PRD’s founding members. He later served in Mexico’s Chamber of Deputies and held numerous leadership positions in Mexico City’s government during the administration of Andrés Manuel López Obrador. Mr. Zambrano spoke on Mexico’s upcoming national election and the impact it will have on Mexican society.
