Modern Korean History Portal

The Modern Korean History Portal is a learning and a research tool for students, educators, and professional historians interested in Korea and has been funded through the generous support of the Korea Foundation. 

Through the Modern Korean History Portal, users can gain access to:

  • Over 2000 documents on Korean history since 1945, gathered from international archives and translated into English
  • More than 100 biographies of major figures in Korean history, all written by leading scholars and experts
  • A comprehensive timeline of important events since Korea's independence, with access to relevant archival documents and other resources
