Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo is the Fuerza y Corazón por México candidate for the governorship of Guanajuato. Born in León, Guanajuato in 1983, she holds a bachelor’s degree in law and a master’s degree in constitutional law and administration from Universidad de la Salle Bajío. She has been a member of the Partido Acción Nacional (PAN) since 2004.
Libia served as a local deputy in Guanajuato for two terms, the first from 2015 until 2018 and the second from 2018 until 2021. Her re-election marked the first time a woman had been re-elected in the Guanajuato Congress. Upon the conclusion of her second term, Libia was named Secretary of the Interior for the state of Guanajuato by the then-governor, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo. She was the first woman to hold this role. In April of 2023, Libia was named Secretary of Human and Social Development in Guanajuato. She left the role in November of that same year to campaign for the governorship.
