Statement on Jamal Khashoggi
The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars expresses its outrage and sadness over the alleged murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, a longtime friend and participant in Center programming over the years who had been invited recently to join us as a Visiting Arab Journalist Fellow.
The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars expresses its outrage and sadness over the alleged murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, a longtime friend and participant in Center programming over the years who had been invited recently to join us as a Visiting Arab Journalist Fellow. We will miss him greatly. The Center calls upon the Government of Saudi Arabia to act expeditiously to bring the full facts of Mr. Khashoggi’s fate to light and to bring to justice those responsible.
The Wilson Center has never received funding from the Government of Saudi Arabia and will not pursue discussions begun earlier this year regarding a grant to help complete our Women’s Leadership Initiative Index.
