Expert Bio

Victoria Chertorivski is an intern for the Mexico Institute. She is currently a sophomore at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service with a major in International Politics and a concentration in International Law. She is also minoring in Women and Gender Studies. Victoria's academic focus on human rights, gender equality, and governance — along with her experience in advocacy and research — brought her to the Wilson Center to deepen her understanding of migration, border policy, and their gendered implications.

Born and raised in Mexico City, Victoria has always felt a deep connection to her home country, which has shaped her passion for addressing systemic inequalities and fostering collaboration between the U.S. and Mexico. During her internship at the Wilson Center, she is especially interested in exploring how migration and border policy intersect with gender issues, and how bilateral cooperation can address the challenges faced by vulnerable populations.
