When the Ford Foundation launched its International Fellowship Program five years ago; the goals were simple. The Foundation sought to make graduate education possible for promising students from disadvantaged sectors of developing countries. And it wanted them to return home upon graduation rather than add to the outward migration of the brain drain. Now, there is substantial evidence that they are achieving both goals. These interviews with students from China, Nigeria and Guatemala show why.
