AI and Creativity at the Rio Innovation Week

On August 15, the Brazil Institute cohosted the event with YouTube during the Rio Innovation Week to address a topic usually overlooked in the policy debate: its impact on human creativity. While some see AI as a threat, others highlight its potential. However, the real question isn't whether AI is creative but how we can harness it as a powerful tool to elevate our own creativity. This event discussed the true challenge, which lies in our "agency"—our ability to shape technology rather than letting it shape us.
