Expert Bio

Aleksandra Kozioł is an analyst in the International Security Programme, at the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM). She works on European security, with a focus on EU security policy as well as Russian domestic and foreign policy. Her research interests also include the Eastern Neighbourhood and EU space policy. She holds a PhD in Political Science, a Master’s degree in International Relations and a Master’s degree in Russian Studies. She has taught at the Jagiellonian University and conducted an EU-funded research project on Russia’s policy towards Muslim population. Fluent in English and Russian, she also speaks German and Belarusian.
