About the Documentary

"Artifact War" chronicles the courageous journey of an archaeology professor and his team of students who confront the illicit antiquities network operated by ISIS. Determined to protect their cultural heritage, they embark on a perilous mission, going undercover in ISIS-controlled territories. Amidst the dangers of war, they devise a system to monitor the theft and destruction of Syrian antiquities. Their investigation uncovers a vast network trafficking thousands of artifacts, implicating both terrorist organizations and multinational corporations. The film sheds light on how the sale of these illegal goods reaches unsuspecting markets worldwide.
