Alina Niamtsu is a former Kennan Institute Staff Assistant Intern. Alina is an M.A. candidate at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service at the Center for Eurasian, Russian, and East European Studies. Her research focuses on transatlantic security, Eastern Europe, and Ukrainian law. Originally from Ukraine, Alina is a Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University graduate. She worked at a Legal Clinic in Kharkiv, conducting legal research and providing legal advice and consultation. Additionally, Alina served as a Young European Ambassador in Ukraine for three consecutive years.
