Expert Bio
Andrew Allen was a Summer 2018 Staff Intern at the Brazil Institute at the Wilson Center. He is currently working towards a joint B.A. in International Relations and Portuguese Studies at Brigham Young University. During his time at BYU, Andrew has worked as a research assistant on the Impact Evidence development project, which aims to make academic international development studies available and accessible to policymakers around the world. Andrew lived in São Paulo, Brazil from 2013 to 2015, and has been a volunteer English-to-Portuguese interpreter since 2016. His main areas of interest include both historical and contemporary Brazilian politics, Brazilian political economy, and the intersection of technology and geopolitics.
