Expert Bio

Originally from Manta, Ecuador, Annia graduated from the University of Maryland (College Park) in 2020 with a B.A. in Government and Politics with a focus in International Relations. She has worked at the Ecuador Mission to the Organization of American States (OAS) and the Embassy of Ecuador in Washington D.C. prior to joining the Latin American Program at the Wilson Center. Annia holds a multicultural background and is fluent in Spanish, English, French, and Portuguese. She is passionate about social justice and equality, and the rule of law and development across Latin America.
