Full Biography

Dr. Z. Aslı Elitsoy earned a Master’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies from Tel Aviv University and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Bilkent University. From 2018 to 2019, she served as a research assistant on a project funded by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK). From  2021 to  2022, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher on another TUBITAK-funded project. She has taught a variety of courses as a part-time lecturer at Bilkent University, TOBB University of Economics and Technology, Başkent University, and Istanbul Medipol University. Currently, she is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow in the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Copenhagen. She has extensive fieldwork experience in Israel and Turkey with a focus on ethnicity, nationalism, minority politics, and migration. Her work has been published in international academic journals such as Security DialogueNew Perspectives on Turkey, and Journal of Balkan and Near Eastern Studies.
