Full Biography

Aya Mouallem is an engineer and researcher from Beirut, Lebanon. She is currently a PhD candidate, Knight-Hennessy Scholar, and RAISE Doctoral Fellow at Stanford University, building educational technology tools to improve the accessibility of engineering education. She graduated from the American University of Beirut with a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering.

Aya is a co-founder of All Girls Code, an award-winning community initiative that encourages young girls to pursue STEM in Lebanon and the MENA. She is also the director of the LebNet WiT Fellows program, equipping the next generation of Lebanese women technologists with the resources and skills needed to launch their careers in tech. Aya has completed fellowships with Johnson & Johnson, UN Women in the Arab States, and Women Deliver, and she was named one of ten women transforming the landscape of leadership worldwide by The New York Times.
