Expert Bio
Bri Sáenz is a Research Assistant for the Latin America Program at the Wilson Center. She is currently a senior at the University of Wisconsin in Madison majoring in political science with a minor in German. She is fluent in Spanish and is a Global Leader with the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute. Her research interests include the rule of law and democratic backsliding in Latin America, organized crime violence and its effect on politics and society, and the economic impacts of fluctuating currency prices in Mexico and Argentina. Prior to working with the Wilson Center, Bri interned at the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, D.C.
